Yayasan Pendidikan Kristen Ora et Labora (YPK OeL) is a foundation that manages Christian schools from kindergarten, elementary, junior and senior high school levels based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Considering the importance and benefits of integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into teaching and learning activities in improving the quality of education, YPK OeL together with SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC) agreed to have collaboration.
As a first step to establish the cooperation between both parties, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 2, 2019 at YPK OeL Pamulang Campus. The cooperation will focus on developing ICT based education programmes and extending the cooperation network in Southeast Asia and beyond,
Another meeting was held to discuss a more strategic action to support the quality improvement of teaching and learning proccess in schools under YPK OeL. A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and follow up action plan was signed on October 31, 2019 at YPK OeL BSD Campus. SEAMOLEC Director, Dr. Alpha Amirrachman, accompanied by Community Partnership Manager, Mr. Victor Labotano, were welcomed by the Head of YPK Ora et Labora, Mrs Sandi Rahaju, SJD, with Board of Directors of YPK OeL.
Dr Alpha said that SEAMOLEC with its expertise and programmes will support YPK OeL and its future activities, especially the ones that related to open and distance learning and ICT utilization in teaching and learning.
