The SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC) and Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta have officially extended their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a ceremony held on Monday, July 8, 2024, in meeting room 1 of the UNS central office building. This event marks the continuation of the commitment of both institutions to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, research, and educational technology development.
The event was attended by the Director of SEAMOLEC, Dr. Wahyudi, and the Acting Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Business, and Information of UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, SE, M.Sc., Ph.D. Also present were members of the rectorate and the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of UNS, Prof. Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., along with other stakeholders.
The collaboration between SEAMOLEC and UNS has been ongoing for several years and has made significant contributions to the development of innovative programs in education. With the extension of this MoU, both parties are committed to further enhancing collaboration in various strategic programs, including training and workshops, joint research, and technology-based curriculum development.
In his speech, Dr. Wahyudi stated, “Collaboration with UNS is one of SEAMOLEC's strategic efforts to promote the improvement of education quality in Indonesia through innovation and technology. We hope that with the extension of this MoU, both institutions can further synergize to achieve our shared goals.”
Meanwhile, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho also expressed, “UNS greatly appreciates the cooperation that has been established with SEAMOLEC. With the extension of this MoU, we hope to continue to jointly develop programs that provide real benefits to the world of education, especially in facing the challenges of the digital era.”
The extension of this Memorandum of Understanding is expected to strengthen the relationship between SEAMOLEC and UNS and have a positive impact on the development of education in Indonesia. This collaboration is also expected to become a model for cooperation between other educational institutions in addressing global challenges in the field of education.
