International Discussion Forum on Innovation Pedagogy: Learning from Europe and Experiences from Indonesia SEAMOLEC and INDOPED Project Consortium in collaboration with Directorate Learning and Students Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (MoRTHE) conducted an International Discussion Forum entitled Innovation Pedagogy : Learning from Europe and Experiences from Indonesia on Tuesday, September 26th, 2017. There are around 100 lecturers and educators under the network of MoRTHE attended the event which took place at the MoRTHE Auditorium, Building D 2nd floor. This International Discussion Forum presented one keynote speaker from Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS), Finland, Mr. Harri Lappalainen who gave explanation about Innovation Pedagogy as a Learning Concept. There were also 5 speakers from 5 Indonesian universities who shared about their experiences in implementing the learning methods from European university partners. The speakers are Mr. Tri A Budiono from Binus University, Mr. Pheni Khalid from State Islamic University (UIN), Jakarta, Ms. Lanny Hartanti from Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya, Mr. Agus Arief Munawar from Syiah Kuala University, Aceh, and Mr. Herman Miril from Yogyakarta State University (UNY).News detail
International Discussion Forum
The forum was officially opened by Prof. Ainun Na’im, the Secretary General of MoRTHE. In his remarks Prof. Na’im delivered his appreciation to the consortium for sharing interesting experiences about learning pedagogy to other lecturers in Indonesia. It is expected that the learning methods presented in this forum will be able to enrich the student centered approach in classroom teaching and learning process.
INDOPED Project is a project Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union in modernizing Indonesian Higher Education with Tested European Pedagogical Practices. This project was started at the end of 2015 until 2018 and it is conducted by 5 European Universities, 5 Indonesian Universities, and SEAMEO SEAMOLEC.
The event was quite fruitful and participants were very active in asking clarification and queries regarding the methods presented by all speakers in 2 discussion panels. The whole sessions were streamed online via SEAMOLEC Facebook account, and the recording is available to be accessed through https://www.facebook.com/seameoseamolec.
