Today, all SEAMOLEC staffs were happily celebrating the Centre’s 22nd Anniversary. The occasion was held back-toback with the Inter-Centre Collaboration Meeting (ICCM). Representatives from other Indonesian SEAMEO Centres and former Director of SEAMOLEC, Prof. Dr. Paulina Pannen also attended the celebration. The Centre also received a congratulatory message from the former Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia (2001-2004), Prof. Abdul Malik Fajar. In his message he delivered the expectation for SEAMOLEC to play an important role in open and distance learning within the region, especially for students in remote areas.
In his remarks, Dr. Alpha Amirrachman informed all audiences a highlighted story of SEAMOLEC Journey, a history and timeline of the Centre’s services to Southeast Asia region from the year 1997 up to now. He emphasized that in the future SEAMOLEC will still need support and assistance from all partners in undertaking relevant programmes. During the event, there were two staffs of SEAMOLEC awarded as Best Staffs of the Year, they are; Ms. Arie Susanty (Training Division) and Mr. Tomi Dafisah (Administration Division) After that all SEAMOLEC staffs were having motivational class and actively involved in games and sharing session. Today was indeed one of good memories to be cherished again in the future. Bravo SEAMOLEC!
